The Cleaning – Infection Control Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) outlines the main hazards and risks associated with cleaning of areas contaminated by biological, viral or other potentially infectious pathogens, including hazardous manual tasks, use of chemicals, exposure to harmful or toxic substances, and electrical equipment. The SWMS provides details of the health and safety precautions (including protective clothing and PPE) required for infection control in potentially contaminated premises.
